I’m open for wedding dress commissions throughout the year and love to work towards a dress for such a special day. Options can vary, from choosing an existing dress, customising Phaedra patterns, or working on something completely new together. “I've got a number of treasured Phaedra pieces in my wardrobe, so I immediately thought of Deva when I was really struggling with finding a wedding dress within the bridal industrial complex - it's a nightmare out there! In my dress consumption funnel I ordered some pieces from different ready to wear shops but the quality was often poor. I knew the kinds of shapes I like from Phaedra, and Deva worked with me to figure out what fabrics we could use, and what designs could work with them. The end result was a stunning two piece in a Japanese weighted cotton. I was so thrilled with the dress and felt amazing in it on the day.”

I loved getting married in my Phaedra dress. It felt great to be in, a lovely unique thing in its own right. The fitting session meant it hung beautifully and was outrageously comfortable - not to mention the pockets, every wedding dress should have pockets. The custom amendments were fun - Deva added a subtle dippy train at the back. The fabric is gorgeous - heavy and real - I wore it with a gold chain, some borrowed silk undergarments, and a fur scarf which made me feel incredibly expensive. It was also such a nice process to go to Deva's studio - tapping out entirely from the miserable wedding dress world. I'm going to dye it now, and wear it forever as my new favourite dress!

It was an absolute dream working with Deva to create my bespoke wedding dress. The process for sizing and deciding on the final design was really great and collaborative and she even agreed to make me a trial version which I have now hand dyed to have another dress for the future. Thankyou so much for Deva for creating my floaty linen wedding dress of dreams! Incredibly special to have a one-off piece at an affordable price point too.

I already had a small collection of Phaedra clothes I’d built up over the years and Deva had made my sister’s wedding dress so I looked no further when it came to my own. I wanted something comfortable and short enough that I could dance in it whilst still looking feminine and enough like a wedding dress. I already owned the Iris dress and it fit so nicely that we used that as the base and then made changes such as a longer, fuller skirt, a tie back and hidden pockets. It was so easy to communicate my ideas to Deva over the phone and it was all such an easy process from start to finish. She also made my sister a bridesmaids dress and sourced fabric for it that complimented the setting perfectly, and used this same fabric for a tie at the back of my dress. Deva kept me updated and also sent me fabric swatches so I knew exactly what to expect.
The dress is absolutely beautiful in both looks and quality and I was so so happy with the finished result- it’s exactly what I’d asked for. I’ll be dyeing it one day in the future so I can get plenty of use out of it again!

I knew from the get-go that I wanted Deva to make my dress, as I had a few Phaedra pieces already and they are my favourite clothes in my wardrobe. Working with Deva was great as I requested some fabric samples and alterations on the Thalia dress to suit me. The dress fitted perfectly to my measurements and I felt so comfortable and like myself on the day! Deva was fantastic the whole way through I couldn't recommend Phaedra enough for a bridal dress!
