Your garment is a narrative: linen becomes softer and suppler, colour lightens subtly, and the cloth is imbued with memory - all signs of a long and happy relationship between garment and wearer.

To ensure your garment is preserved over time, please hand wash, or wash on a gentle cold wash inside out and line dry. A handful of salt in the drum can also help to preserve the colours. You can also wash your garment in a cotton tote bag or pillowcase to protect it from colour-fading. Colours may leak on the first wash due to the nature of the cloth.

Linen is best worn un-ironed to reveal the true character of the fabric. Smooth out fabric straight out of the wash before drying.

Natural fabrics such as linen and cotton will
weaken with wear and time, or adventures can sometimes end in calamity!  Please get in touch if you would like advice on mending or would like fabric scraps or thread, I'm happy to help.
